Iñaki Larrea is one of those people who seem to belong outdoors. Born and raised in Argentine Patagonia, he grew up surrounded by rivers, lakes, and mountains — places that shaped not only his way of life but also his way of seeing the world. His passion for fishing started early, inspired by his grandfather, and it eventually became his calling.
While studying at university, Iñaki began guiding trips for golden dorado in northern Argentina, where he discovered that guiding was about much more than catching fish — it was about sharing moments, stories, and a deep respect for nature.
After years of guiding for the top lodges in Patagonia, he co-founded of The Gauchos Outfitters which partners with Trout Lines Travel to bring together anglers from all over to experience Argentina’s best fishing destinations. With a strong presence on social media, Iñaki has built a community of over 90,000 passionate anglers who share his love for fly fishing, wild places, and life outdoors. His content reflects what he lives every day: authenticity, connection, and a deep appreciation for nature.
